Those Hoping in Jehovah Will Regain Power

When exhaustion sets in, Jehovah's promise in Isaiah 40:31 is a lifeline — strength renewed, wings like eagles, endurance that does not quit.

## Today's Verse > "But those hoping in Jehovah will regain power. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not tire out." > — **Isaiah 40:31** (NWT) --- ## Reflection Life in this system of things can be draining. The pressures of work, family responsibilities, personal trials, and the daily effort to maintain our spiritual routine can leave even the most faithful servant feeling depleted. Perhaps you have had days when field service felt like a climb uphill, or when sitting down for personal Bible study seemed harder than it should. If so, Isaiah 40:31 was written with you in mind. Notice the progression Jehovah inspires through the prophet Isaiah: *soaring*, *running*, and *walking*. Not every day is a soaring day. Some days we simply walk — one step at a time — and Jehovah honors that too. What matters is that our hope remains anchored in **him**. The Hebrew word translated "hoping" here carries the idea of waiting with expectation, like a cord stretched taut toward a fixed point. Our hope is not wishful thinking; it is confident expectation grounded in Jehovah's track record. He has never abandoned those who trust him — not Noah, not Ruth, not the early Christians who endured persecution under Roman rule. This promise is especially encouraging as we contemplate the **Kingdom hope**. Soon, Jehovah's new world will put an end to every source of weariness. Under Kingdom rule, resurrected loved ones will return, the earth will be restored to paradise, and the very concept of exhaustion will be a distant memory (Revelation 21:4). That future is not a dream — it is a certainty backed by Jehovah's own name and purpose. Until that day arrives, Jehovah offers renewable strength *right now*. Regular prayer, deep Bible study, and meeting attendance are not burdens — they are the channels through which he replenishes our energy. Use them freely. --- ## Reflection Questions 1. In what area of your life do you most need Jehovah's renewed strength this week? 2. How does meditating on the paradise hope help you endure present difficulties? 3. What practical step can you take today — even a small "walking" step — to stay close to Jehovah? --- ## Prayer Point Thank Jehovah specifically for one way he has already strengthened you this week. Ask him to sustain your hope in his Kingdom promises, and to help you recognize the daily ways he renews your power.
