Has a Bible Reading Routine Helped You Feel Closer to Jehovah?
At Psalm 1:2, 3, we read about the man who finds delight in Jehovah's law and "reads it in an undertone day and night." The result? He is "like a tree planted by streams of water, a tree that produces fruit in its season." What a beautiful picture of someone whose life is deeply rooted in Jehovah's Word! Many of us set a goal to read the entire Bible on a schedule — whether following the congregation's reading plan or one we've chosen personally. But beyond completing chapters, something deeper happens over time: we begin to see Jehovah's personality more clearly. His justice, his mercy, his patience — all of it comes alive on the pages of the New World Translation. Here is a question for our family here: Has a specific Bible reading routine, or a particular scripture, helped you feel closer to Jehovah? Maybe a verse surprised you, or a passage gave you exactly the strength you needed during a difficult time. Feel free to share the scripture and what it meant to you. We would love to hear how Jehovah has spoken to your heart through his Word. As Paul wrote at Romans 15:4: "For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope."
